Every highly productive and successful person on earth is a criminal- positive and legitimate criminal. YOU have all it takes to be one of the positive criminals too; the top is not crowded yet!

CULTISM

Another negative line of thought is that, every highly productive and successful person is a cultist.

Again, perfectly right! But, what kind of cult? What is the dictionary definition of cult? A group with similar religious, business, social philosophy or way of life! 

Get this truth today- no genuine positive or negative cult group would open her arms to welcome an empty barrel, likely for errands, even for errands! Cultism’s rarely make room for a mental fool, which is why it is not open for everyone out there on the street.

Most rich people you may know to be involve in cultism joined after making money or were invited to join after displaying some sort of extraordinary knowledge and bravery.

A number of positive and negative cult group as we wish to call them now, are basically a platform conceived to network/associate with fellows who are considered to be great minds and as such, a readymade help for each other when and where the need arise.

Though, some, in trying to fight evil become evil themselves, however, the major reason why most people on their own join ritual and spiritual fraternity groups is because of security/protection against evil men/women who they perceived may want to kill them for being successful than they are as already celebrated by African home videos.

The truth is that, every highly productive and successful person on earth is either a fellow of the good or bad cult/network of likeminded groups.

YOU can join the good network of likeminded groups- how? Your religious center, your school, your business, trade union and market women association is a group/network too.

These are forum where people share business lead ideas on how to succeed and or micro-finance funds from the government or financial institutions and available help for each other in time of challenges.

Like it or not, online or offline- especially with the world becoming a global village by the seconds with the internet, NETWORKING is the gateway to becoming highly productive and successful; you must either build your own or be a part of a productive and progressive network, there is no two ways about it!

WHY DO WE HAVE MORE SPECTATORS?

That is because most people go for what they want instead of what they NEED!

Permit me to share what one of my Internet Marketing Instructor shared with us:

Sell What People ‘want’ To Buy and Not What They ‘NEED’ To Buy.

“…there is a massive difference between what people want to buy and what people
NEED to buy even though they sound similar.

…let’s assume you sell information materials with 1,000 copies each of two titles:
1. How to pass JAMB
2. How to relocate to the USA

…if you have a teenage son you love so dearly, what will be your advice him at that stage of his life? I’m sure you will advise him to pass JAMB and head to a University. Good!

If you ask 100 teenagers to choose out of the two options: go to the university or travel to the USA, which one do you think most of them will opt for? Your answer is as good as mine. They NEED to go to school but they want to travel abroad.

Let me ask you, which one will succeed faster out of these…
Bottled water company or a beer company?

A food canteen or a football viewing center?
A motivational book/magazine or a football book/magazine?

Gosh! I once saw a hungry looking boy (about 13 years old) pay N50 to enter a football viewing centre. That boy NEEDED food, but he want to watch Chelsea.

I gave up my websites on motivation, business, self development etc to concentrate on gaming, travel, sports, entertainment, romance and sex. Why? They sell!

Truly, like marketing people say, sex sells!

‘…if most people were to have a one on one chat with GOD ALMIGHTY to present why they were unable to succeed in life; God would knock them on their head with words like;

‘…get away from me you shameful disgraceful fellow, I gave you everything you NEED to become highly productive and successful but you went after what you want and here complaining I couldn’t do this or that because I was born in Nigeria, Niger, Ghana, Somalia…I dint go to school, the economy was bad…” 

YOU CAN MAKE IT!

Friends, I speak to you youths, we’ve got no reason whatsoever to be unproductive; do what my friend Tu-Face calls ‘shady deals’ or waste our precious time in crises or whatever. …all of this is nothing but a decoy for you to destroy yourself by yourself with your own hands.”

Success is your birthright if you know the law of life; it’s in you and not in external forces or factors as we have been programmed to believe!

All we are asked to do from Adam is, develop ourselves by reading and associate with productive and progressive minds; if you know and play by the rule of the game, you must emerge!        

Having come to know the truth, what are you supposed to do? The Dakota Proverb says “When you discover you are riding a dead horse, the best strategy is to dismount.” 

It’s true that most people buy and go for what is pleasing to the eyes and ears, that simply explains why only the very few who took time out to learn and practice the laws of life succeed, leaving most people with the feeling and believe that, one must be restive, do crime or cult to succeed.

Let’s at this juncture analyze the alleged ways to success;

RESTIVENESS

What is the definition of being wealthy? We totally consent to Robert Kiyosaki definition, he said “money should not be the determining factor to what you aspire and achieve in life; your ability to aspire and achieve what you want even when broke is the indicator that you have conquered the addictive power of money.”

That cannot be easy for the easygoing; restiveness/restlessness and ruggedness is a plus quality for highly productive and successful people.

Just like a gas cylinder; restiveness has the capacity to propel you to greatness if channeled appropriately and to destruction when abused. Be positively restless and rugged!

No man succeeds on a platter of gold- the most productive and successful people fought, even when they were perceived as being silent, and that is what makes their success power even more enthralling.

There are two ways to fight and the tested and proven best way is not with weapons as most people think, but with staying success power. It takes restiveness to stay put when you should unleash the dragon.

The best fight philosophy is when you endure the heat/pain and yet in control, charting paths to breakthrough, instead of accepting the decoy to destroy yourself by yourself by doing or saying self destructive things that would later become reality in your life or regret.

  

The best case study to prove this theory is Apple Legend- Steve Job; he was fired from the company he floated but never fought back as expected.

Rather, he stayed put, yet restive and rugged doing what he should be doing and was recalled in due time. The records of the transformation he made possible in Apple are in the sand of times for your consideration. 

To be highly productive and successful, you must be positively restive and rugged!

CRIME

The common idea to most people, youths especially is that, “there is no success without crime.” Perfectly right! But what kind of crime?

The negative criminals use arms or forcefully take what belongs to you. 

The positive criminals use idea, products or service to stylishly take what belongs to you- you pay smiling; both of them are criminals; one ruthless and the latter friendly.

That is practically why people package, advertise and sell several life defaming products/entertainment that appeals to man’s fleshly desires or roll out life enhancing services/inventions by the seconds, branding them as 2009, 2010, 2013, 2015 model…, can’t you see it?

Success is like a T-junction- you decide which way to drive with the same doggedness and resourcefulness; left lane has death traps, ill-gotten success, imprisonment and death, while the right lane has good success, challenges and failure.

The good side of the right lane is that, you can honourably and creatively start all over again. These conjure why most successful people work on feedbacks several times before success that knows no limit smile their way- you can make it!

KNOW THE RULE AND AVOID THE FLAWS OF LIFE - PART 1

I see people walk the street on daily basis searching for means of livelihood; when in actual sense, they are a moving institution and conglomerate that has the capacity to create job for themselves and generation after them.

The truth is that, most unsuccessful people today in life were at different spot in life close to ground breaking success but lost out, why? Because, they were ignorant of success power- knowledge! 

I am in love with the much talk about film, the “3 Idiots.” In the film, the young man who originally invented the toy plane lost out and committed suicide, why? Because, the Head of the School said he was not serious. Unknown to him, he was at that point close to perfecting his idea and ground breaking success.

He discarded the toy plane and the lead actor picked it up, improved on what he had done and got it right- most times, we are closer than we think.

Irrespective of the perceived disability of any kind- no money, lack of education, physical disability, deteriorating economy… there is greatness in everyone created by God Almighty that is yet to be maximised - it is in you!

YOU CAN BE AND CAN INSPIRE AND MENTOR YOUR CHILD OR STUDENT TO BE EXCELLENT DRIVEN AND BE HIGHLY PRODUCTIVE AND SUCCESSFUL. YES, YOU CAN!

Our warri people say,

“na wetin you look throw-way face, na him your mate take pass you!”

The sad part of life is that, most people see ‘success’ as abstract, in trying to upgrade, some replace it with the word ‘entrepreneurship.’ That is not bad, because, they in teaching entrepreneurship cover ‘success’ as a subject.

Most people left school with only paper qualification; mentally and physically indolent- the worst is mental indolence.

We stand proud to say that, the Nigeria/African youths are not lazy as propagated by some quarters; they are among the most resourceful if given the right condition.

Again, what is the right condition? Some persons think it boils down to money.

NO! Just like other good thinking people have overemphasised, we are of the opinion with proven facts that, the current system of conventional education, skill acquisition, amnesty, sport, money and other condiments like motorbikes are secondary ways to truly develop and empower the youths.  

The developed countries are currently battling with the puzzle and trying to change to the system of education and empowerment that took them this far, because the current system is not highly productive as they had expected.

The current system is best described as administering analgesic to someone who needs to undergo a surgery. We do not in any way support or advocate amnesty, money and skill acquisition as the first line of action.

We can see that locally with the ban on OKADA sweeping the nation; a youth development and empowerment initiative that was once celebrated nationwide.

Like building, you need to certify- be sure of the foundation- the soil, the location and material you are using before erecting the structure.

To buttress our point, it on record that, some of the beneficiaries of the River State Government Skill Acquisition training programme abroad, have been calling on the governor to ask for employment and financial support, after travelling out of this great country Nigeria, fully sponsored by the state government; that is an error!

That is practically because; they were only trained on the skill and lack the mental training needed to become highly productive and successful in the evolving generation.

With such opportunity to have travel abroad for training, if properly tutored, they should have been attracting investments and creating jobs and not pleading for jobs and peanuts.

Like one of mentor said, “I will rather pay Alh. Aliko Dangote, The Bull Wale Adenuga, Prof. Pat Utomi millions of naira for one day business/success lecture, than pay a hundred thousand to an institution professor of business.”

 Why? Because, the Professor knows the theory, but, we need practical solutions to excel in the real world!      

Human capacity development goes beyond skill and knowledge about a particular discipline/career. This should include teaching people how to discover their individuality- their mission in life, how to manage change and challenges as they grow, to be able to identify and enjoy opening opportunities.

Unfortunately, due to ignorance and indolence, a lot of people are yet not aware of the fact that, most courses and businesses they are busy learning, investing their finance and time on today is as good as obsolete.

THE IRONY

The irony of this is that, these set of people if not redirected today would have no place to work or do business in the fast changing, challenging world, though full with opportunities.

These unemployable would then become object of mass destruction, because they lack profitable skill, investment and have nothing to lose but their already frustrated life.

There is no other time than now to connect the evolving youths with the inspiration and technology needed to go to places we only dreamt of, the time is now and it is possible!

Have you ever wonder why there is usually drastic reduction of crime and youth related restiveness during sport festivals?

Sport festivals engage idle minds with what to watch away their life and argue about. Most youths are unproductive because they are spectators instead of ACTORS they were created to be.

Spectators watch to have something to talk about people; ACTORS watch to hone their knowledge and skills.

WE ‘ALL’ RESPONSIBLE!

RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT?

As a street boy like most youths, I was redirected and ushered into what I am currently doing today known as 9ja knowledge show with the following three life changing sentences;

1. You can make it in Nigeria devoid of crime- no matter what,

2. Everyman/woman you meet bless and prosper you either ways,

3. And speak evil of no man but all the good you know of everyone!

That voice and propulsion from GOD is what has sustained me, the project and that is why my email opened ten years ago, reads yesnigeria4life@yahoo.com. So, it is not my business to celebrate ‘the why’ or ‘point fingers’, especially, because, we are “ALL” responsible but to contribute my quota in redefining and blaze the trail of youth/human capacity development and empowerment.”

“If you ask most people on the street the simple question, ‘who is responsible for the current decadency in our society?’ The response you are sure to get is- ‘…the government, politicians and the successful people – company owners.’

Who is the government or the rich people? “WE”- you, my humble self, our relatives, friends and fellow citizens- these people represent the mental and moral state of the wider society- good or bad!

If you walk up to the politicians or public servants in the government, most of them would tell you, it is a mutual business and or likely act too busy doing what they think they should do- but time and event overtake them by surprise.

And if you stoop to ask most men in business and social organizations, what do you get? We are in business to make money, we have scope and budget we are working on, besides, it’s the government’s responsibility to provide security, job and to re-orientate the society.

Those who are specially called like my humble self to inspire and empower the society, got sidetracked by mounting challenges that was meant to perfect us and didn’t sustain the calling as we should. We allowed ourselves to be carried along by the wind of get rich quick at all cost.”

I once called a Lebanese C.E.O, doing business in Nigeria, inviting him to be one of the proud sponsors of the youth development and empowerment programme we organized; what did he have to say, after several maradonic dribbling, he finally said, ‘I no be sponsor’ and cut the call.  

Don’t get too angry with the Lebanese fellow, because, as a team, we also invited high profile fellow Nigerian C.E.O’s and top government officials who did the same, likely because, they feel they were secured, but times are changing- they now know better.

Some of these people went as far as stealing the project, but like you know, THE VISION runs beyond what we wrote to them and as such they couldn’t execute it even with their position and unlimited funds at their disposal. I meet the former Warri South Chairman, Hon. Mathew Mofe Edema to complain about this daybreak stealing and oppression which was enough to take the boys back to the street.

I smiled at them and bear no grudges because; I now know better- they were doing what they were suppose to do- perfect us by their challenges. This reminds me of a popular story amongst the Christendom which goes something like this “if the devil knew that impaling Jesus Christ was in line with the redemption game plan of GOD and would attract the cloud of witnesses now calling his name, the devil would have changed his mind to- ‘stay and don’t die and let’s see how you would redeem man!’”

So, look at the people who challenge you as people who do not know what they are doing, at the end, you would realise that, the challenges post before you is what you need to be what your are created to be- this I can say at the top of my voice- again and again!

And that is why, I believe that most people who fast, pray, bind and cast don’t really know what they are binding and casting, most times, they use their mouth and hand to bind and cast away their most cherished dream they have all day and night being looking for.

And again, like other great men and women have overtime confirmed, ‘who God has blessed no man can curse- we are nothing but pencil in GOD’s hand and nothing without HIM!’  

YOUTH CHALLENGES

Let me state here that, most youth related restlessness of whatever form is not far from REJECTION and DISAPOINTMENT; more so because, most of them were not properly trained on how to handle REJECTION and DISAPOINTMENT or on how to manage NEGATIVE responses they get from the people they so much respect or hoped on.

There are two sides to every coin; these aggrieved youths end up saying to themselves, ‘...if you cannot give because of God, then you must give because of the devil- and funny enough, most people and the society give because of the devil.

That is the simple interpretation of the current system of AMNESTY and EMPOWERMENT- denote bomb, claim responsibility and be empowered or write to companies, if they didn’t respond, go there armed and they would gladly pay you!’

And I think, like many good thinking people have overtime complained, this does not in any way portend a glorious future for Nigeria. In most cases we inspired these youths take up arms by our response to them.

I have written several letters to international organisations – even to CNN and all of them respond within 24 hours, but to Nigerian organisations, few responded. But sad to say, they do respond positively when youths come around them with arms as armed robbers, militants or as redefined development tax collectors as they are known in some part of the country- we can no longer indirectly continue to force these youths to take arms, that is not good for our and the wider society’s security.

I am not saying that, successful people or the government should throw away their hard earned money or not, but that; there are better ways to truly empower these youths. We should respond to these youths honourably- share in their pains, inspire, discover and develop their talents and speak hope into them.

Most times, these youths don’t know who they truly are- I mean their dormant abilities, we can supercharge them with simple words. In most cases, the act of given them free money/skill acquisition destroy them rather than make them, I can say that again and again!

For example, within the same period, we wrote to a man we now respect so much, Rev. Dr. Tolar Ikem, the C.E.O. of Triune Ventures Limited, invited him to be one of our proud sponsors.

Unlike some other C.E.O’s who hide themselves with security agents and turn down calls if you ever have the rare privilege of having their mobile contacts; when told we were around, he walked out of his office honourably, met us at his reception, shook hand with us and said;

“…young men and women, I love what you guys are doing, however, I must also confess that, I no longer know who is who, because, a lot of young men come around proposing one youth development related programme or the other, on giving them the money, that is the last you hear of them. Please keep the timely and good works going; I would personally call you when I see you doing what you say you are doing.

And again, I am on a mission like you, but decided to be doing this my small contract business to avoid begging people for support to my ministry...”

He didn’t give us a dime/kobo, we walked away smiling, because he dignified us and told us the truth we all know and should know.

However, I would not fail to mention this; our previous programme was a success because of the timely support we got from great men like Mr. Billy Ofesi, C.E.O Biloritz Nig. Limited.

And funny enough, Mr. Ahmed Mazolum, the M.D of Unitop International – who coincidentally is the younger brother of the Lebanese C.E.O I mentioned who turned us down. Dr. Ochuko Akpeme, the Proprietor of Classical International School, Mr. Sunny Ozobialu of the Wichtech Group and Federal Government College Warri.

You would agree with us that, running impact making youth development programme is finance intensive, but, to GOD Almighty be all the glory, our event made a positive impact that youths yet talk about to date.

THE MATRIX

Imagine if these people and organisation didn’t respond to our challenge when it mattered most, what would have happened?

UNLEASH THE DRAGON

Most importantly, imagine if we had allowed youthful exuberance to overrule our sense of reason, thus misinterpret and respond to the Lebanese response this way, which was also possible;

“In our country, a Lebanese, making money and yet have the effrontery to say ‘you are not a sponsor, then why are you here making money, pack and go by fire and by thunder’?”

UNLEASH THE GREATNESS

We unleashed greatness by handling the challenge responsibly, and latter enjoyed his younger brother’s patronage because, we know the rule of the game of business- you win and lose some and win latter- even in regular day to day business!

There are obvious indicators that, most youth’s related restiveness are not far from the response and the kind of attention we gave or did not give them.

QUESTIONS TO PONDER?

To parents; How many youths understand and play by this rule of the game of life and why? Most of them are ignorant of the rule of the game of life. Who should teach them? WE- the successful and we would by helping them help ourselves, and that is exactly what these great companies like Microsoft, Nokia, Intel have figured out!

If these youths are inspired and empowered, they would have money to patronised the unending smart devices/products they are producing and also secure their investment in Nigeria/Africa.

 

To youths: would we have enjoyed the Lebanese man’s younger brother patronage if we had gone all out to rain fire and thunder on his elder brother? NO!

Would we have been able to make the much talk about impact and be celebrated as inspirational role models to the youths? Again, NO!

You would agree with me that, most situations that take you to the street are decoy for you to destroy yourself by yourself with your own hand.

WE ARE ALL RESPONSIBLE- the Youths and the Parents! So, don’t point fingers; to us, it’s time to learn from our past- what has held us back and redefine the future!

WELCOME TO A NEW DAWN!

The information I am about to divulge is elusive to many; very few have got hold of it and strategising themselves and their family to rule the world in their own right.

Let’s go into business- a generation..., someone once said- we run things, things don’t run us! Basically, an organized system of running organisations has been born and fast on the rise- a generation that will not ask you what you study in school, but what difference can you make- what have or are you adding to yourself, your community, the society and what can you contribute to and not take from my organisation or the society.

Some people have gotten it all wrong, thinking it has to do with accruing Western Education- in most cases- paper qualification; as good as that may be, the generation in question considered that as a groundwork.

What you did before, during and what you are currently doing after school has a direct bearing on who you are- a contributor or a liability. And like we all know, no one wants a liability- not even as a wife.

The following are not important to the generation= 1. Ethnicity. 2. Family name/societal status. 3. Educational qualification with no practical proof and, 4. Your skin.  What they are on the lookout for is 1. Passion for your area of specialisation. 2. Dedication and ability to work as and in a team. 3. Consistent thirst for self development knowledge- growth and then, 4. Qualification.

You will notice that ‘qualification’ came last, that is because the generation is tired of over qualified personal who are not productive and progressive. It has also discovered that, if the first 3 are in place, the last will find its way- they believe that, the first ‘3’ would give the person all the strength needed to pursue education and knowledge even after graduation.

The generation in question got this prescription from the very few that are currently ruling the world in their various field of endeavours- entrepreneurship, creativity, business, management, science, medicine, engineering and even religion. The said that,  

“...if the contemporary generation must go to places we only dreamt of,

...if Nigeria/Africa must fill the gap of invention and production open for it to fulfil,

....if the future must be better than the present, then, the evolving system has to go back

to the old ways of doing things- invest in people and not in materials- oil, gold, diamond...

People when truly empowered discover better ways of maximising or new natural resources than oil, gold, diamond... a great mind said, if the future is not better than today, then we have fathered them in vain!

It is high time YOU prepare for the future today or else, you may see it and not fit in or profit from the abundant opportunities, and guess what, THE FUTURE IS HERE AND NOW!

This piece by Anon titled ‘Running with a Mission’ showcase a principle that anyone who wants to be part of the evolving generation must practice consistently;

Excellent driven people ask themselves this question everyday– what have I learned or achieved today? Is either you have learned or achieve something today or else, it is a wasted 24hours. One way to be a step ahead is by;

1. Going to school- you’ve done that or are in school, then make the best use of the time and or what you have learned.

2. Improve your knowledge base by being a reader with a passion and consistent with evolving knowledge and technology- most people believe that, on graduating from higher school, they are done with reading- that’s wrong, that is rather the best time to invest in your knowledge base.

3. Advance your skills by learning up-to-date techniques of making things happen in your career- register for some professional exams; be part of professional bodies. “You can’t travel within and still stand without”–James Allen, it is just not possible!

Benjamin Franklin also said, “if a man empties his purse into his head, no man can take it away from him. An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.”

THE WAY FORWARD

MASSIVE REORIENTATION! The truth is that, most unsuccessful people today, youths especially, were at different spot in life close to ground breaking success but lost out, why? Because, they were ignorant of success power- knowledge! WE HAVE TO GO OUT THERE TO THE STREET AND COACH THESE YOUTHS; because most of them have what it takes- but need simple inspiration and the evolving technology to succeed!

‘SUCCESS’ is a subject like Engineering, Medicine and Law; when you teach people success principle from childhood, they on their own discover and create what to do, endure the resulting challenges and excel at it. On the other hand, when taught just the skill/trade and profession, they rarely succeed at it.

We are proudly Nigerians/Africans and proud to say that, the Nigeria/African youths are not lazy as propagated by some quarters; they are among the most resourceful if given the right condition and the world know this. What is the right condition? Some persons think it boils down to money.

NO! Just like other good thinking people have overemphasised, we are of the opinion with proven facts that, the current system of family and conventional education, skill acquisition, amnesty, sport, money and other condiments like motorbikes are secondary ways to truly develop and empower the youths. 

Thank God, motorcycle that was once celebrated on national television as the best way to empower youths is gradually fading away across the country. People should be encouraged to READ and participate in life changing programmes! Discover, develop themselves and or also attend distinguished supplementary business/life school like Harvard Business School and our own prestigious Lagos Business School.

Because, due to ignorance and indolence, a lot of people are yet not aware of the fact that, most courses and business they are busy learning, investing their finance and time on today is as good as obsolete.

THE IMPLICATION

The implication is that, these set of people if not redirected today, would have no place to work or do business in the fast changing, challenging world though full with opportunities.

These unemployable would then become object of mass destruction, because they lack profitable knowledge/skill, investment and have nothing to lose but their already frustrated life- the most frustrating situation is to be endowed and not know how to maximise it.

There is no other time than now to connect the evolving youths with the inspiration and technology they need to go to places we only dreamt of, it is possible and it’s is now!
